Successfully implemented training on communication, editing and advertising
Representatives of security institutions, agencies and services from Bosnia and Herzegovina, gathered around the public relations and communications sector, were active participants in the training on video production and advertising, which is part of a larger number of activities initiated for the purpose of realizing a future project media campaign on the topic of migration, return and asylum.
With the aim of improving the skills of media reporting and advertising on the most represented platforms used by the citizens of BiH, the participants in the period from April 15 to 17 at the Monti Hotel (Igman) had the opportunity to learn about the practical application of the latest trends and production methods with a focus on the editing of short video materials that, in the area of the security sector, require up-to-date data processing and information in view of the dynamics of work in the field and the need for timely and clear communication with the citizens of BiH.
Taking into account the field challenges that the representatives of the mentioned services face every day in their work, which most often includes activities related to crisis reporting; Through independent practical work, the participants had the opportunity to learn and improve the skills needed to adapt current announcements to specific formats for individual social networks and other communication channels that they use every day in their work.
Taking into account the complexity of reporting on the topic of migration, asylum and return, the participants had the opportunity to conduct a direct dialogue with the aim of harmonizing the best examples from practice related to an ethical and humane approach in reporting on the migration topic.
The aforementioned training, in addition to improving knowledge and skills on creating unique visual content for communication with the public, also contributes to the creation of uniform video and photo formats for the future preparation and editing of content that will, consequently, become a part of the wider concept of the media campaign on the topic of migration.
This workshop was organized as part of the project “Strengthening Migration Management, Asylum and Return Processes in the Western Balkans” financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Austria.
