On May 12 and 13, at the Itaka Library & Bar in Podgorica, the stories of people who found their new beginning in the Western Balkans came to life through gatherings, conversations, and music from various countries of origin.
Through photographs and personal experiences, the exhibition as part of the campaign "Steps of Change – On the Paths that Shape Safety", brought viewers closer to their daily lives, work, and journeys.
Above all, the exhibition highlighted faces of people behind migration and asylum stories who have undergone successful integration processes in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participants, visitors, and passers-by had the opportunity to hear more about the campaign itself and read more about the unique stories of individuals in the migration process through the distributed promotional materials and prepared brochures.
The exhibition was organized within the project “Strengthening Migration Management, Asylum and Return Processes in the Western Balkans” implemented by Hilfswerk International in cooperation with the Joint Coordination Platform (JCP). The project is funded by the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Austria.
